Hi Everyone,
Thought I should let everyone know that I'm healing fine. I went to the doc yesterday, and he's keeping me on crutches for a few more weeks- it's healing fine naturally, and the alternative is surgery, so he figures he'd keep me from dancing on it a while longer.

I get home all happy, then I meet BILL. Good ol' ER bill. Actually, it was the insurance.

X rays are $29 each, OK. Someone I didn't meet looking at them (and not catching another minor fracture my doc found) was $500, hmph!   The cast and crutches were a mere $100 and entering the ER?...

And my doc didn't think they did all that hot of a job.
Where's that Vicodin scrip? I think I need one now...

Even after insurance, didn't realize I could consume a percentage of my annual income/ kids inheritance in one klutzy move... Going to have to remember, if I can work a phone, we're going to find an urgent care rather than an ER.  
Maybe next time I do something this klutzy, just let the kids play with plaster around my foot!

But hey, I had fun didn't I? did I? I expect to hear about it on camp trips for years.
Beats the co-worker who came back on crutches the same day I did- tripped on a pet gate.

Stay safe out there- and go to urgent care when you're not...
