So far, only Dee and Hatlet have asked to be put on.

You either missed my request at the end of Post 93 or my bribe was not big enough. :banghead:

This may be a silly question, but does anyone have an extra site that they don't need or are looking to sell?  I noticed that is a waiting list already for this very popular campground.  With our new trailer, I am concerned that it may be too big (long) for the site.
We currently have site 71 with a max vehicle lenght of 20ft and our new baby is 25ft and change.
Should I try and call the campground and see if we can still fit in there?

Thank you to anyone who can help, and thanks to everyone for reading this.

I think that 20' is the distance from the street to the concrete stop. Check out the pic here:

If you call the CG they will tell you, "NO". They are strict on trailer lengths, "IF you ask". If you are 20' or under from the rear of your tires to the end of the trailer tongue, I'd think that you'd be OK......just don't hold me to it.

Thanks Wayne.  I will measure it tomorrow or at least before we get there.  We pick it up tomorrow from the dealer.  They are detailing it and they are also setting up the WDH with sway, wich I think might be overkill but it was only a few more bucks for the sway control so more security I suppose.

I don't think that I would tow that trailer without a WDH and sway control. I think that you may find it very different from towing your PU. I would never tow a full size TT without sway control.

I think that if you look at your true weights carefully, you may find that you are close to maxed out with that 1/2 ton PU. I know that I am and our fully loaded trailer is only 4,000#. My guess is that your tongue weight will be over 600# on that trailer. A WDH is a must IMHO.

ANYWAYYYY..........we are in site 64 and the max length for that site is 17'. We are 24' open and I'm not concerned................at least not until they kick us out.....

Congratulations on the new trailer.  Site 71 is a fairly small site so you may have a problem fitting it in.  Our boat is at the marina in Dana Point so if I get back down there in the next couple of weeks I will try and get a look at that site again.

Did you trade in the pop-up or are you going to sell it?

I agree Wayne on the WDH  part.  I would never tow anything that large without it.  I am questioning the way a bit but I have used a 3/4 ton in the past when I was much younger and borrowed from my father with no problems.  I think we are at the limit with this unit as well.  Had a smaller one in mind, but when we saw this one, it was all over.  I tried to stay under 25ft and 5,000lbs dry with 500lbs tongue and it just barely qualifies.

Rich we do plan to sell our very used pup.  We did not trade it in.  We need to get our stuff out of it and clean it a bit too.  Want to get it onto Craig's List by the Holiday weekend.  That would be great if you could go by and check out #71 for us.  I looked at the pics of the site and it looks small indeed.  We were not planning for our upgrade at the time of reservations and just wanted to join in on the fun.
