Perhaps the spelling police should check their grammar before posting:

Quote from: wavery;217818This thread is dying a natural death.......no point in putting it out of it's misery.....:sombraro:

"It's" is a contraction for "it is" so the correct word should have been "its."

Quote from: oreo57;217820Yes, I believe your correct regarding the POIST

"Your" should have been "you're," a contraction for "you are."

:p ;) :D

You might want to "Sign up" on PUX with the same user name and password that you use on this site. It will make it easier for you to use and easier for us to know who you are.

There's already a Malena on PUX

AHHHHH! but I think thou may have misunderstood the intent of the post....oh "Wise One".

In this case........ "it's" is also a contraction of "it has"......thus......."it" (referring to the thread) "has" misery........:p

Don't mess with me.......I know a good lawyer that is really good at twisting words........:sombraro:

Nice try. "It's" (apostrophe "s") is always a contraction for the word "it" plus a form of the verb "to be," whether present or past tense. Therefore, if "it's" were being used as a contraction for "it has" with "has" being the past tense form of the verb "to be," "it's" should've been followed by the word "been," as in "It's been misery." But if "its" is being used in its possessive form, as in it possesses or is full of or "has" misery, it's still "its" (no apostrophe). (See what I did there?)

Dude, I'm an English major and know this stuff cold. I conjugate verbs and diagram sentences in my spare time for fun and profit. I cry tears of joy when Griffin correctly differentiates between "good" versus "well" and uses adverbs appropriately. You're better off to admit defeat on this one and get on with camping. :D:-();) :p :eyecrazy:

Just a reminder - check in time is strictly enforced at Doheny - 2 pm - no early check in - you will be waiting in the parking lot until 2 pm.

What???????? You haven't figured that one out yet!!!!!

I'm disappointed in you Dave.:p

When they tell us, "Go park over there until 2:00". We sheepishly pull into the lot, wait 5 minutes then drive to the campsite. It's worked up 'till now.....:D

Anyway, we will be there tomorrow around 4:PM, so we won't be able to test it out........

The next trick is to see if they let me in with a 24' camper to put in a 17' camp-site.........:yikes:
