As some of you know last weekend while traveling to San Elijo camp out our brake control went out on our TT.  Not a good thing the Trailer brakes were locking up so we couldn't move.  We called out a Mobile RV repair company and the whole time I was thinking of how much this was going to cost us....
When he handed us the bill for coming out plus the new Brake Control it was only $209 which we felt was very fair........We had a good talk with him and he pointed out lots of things to watch for and wasn't pushy at all.....I just wanted to say Thank-You Nick plus let everyone know he also does all repair on RV's if you should find you need a honest person to do some work for you give me a PM and I'll give you the info.....
Just wanted to take the time to say Hooray for the Good Guys.....:)

That is great that you found a honest to goodness repair person. I would put out his name and contact information here and what area he covers, so people can have ready access to it if need be.
Also share the tips that he pointed out for the rest of us that could use the info.

Love a happy endding :o

Yes, Carol please post the repairman's information - does he come out to Orange County? Thanks

You might consider giving him a good review on Angies list.

Although I'm not as big a fan as I used to be (they get you (small businesses) to pay money and make you look good no matter what), and don't subscribe, I still get business from folks checking me out on Angie's List.

Always good to hear of a concern that's honest and treats their customers (and the public) well.  That kind of business practice use to be the norm and it seems nowadays it's a rarity.

Had something similar happen to me. Broke a leaf spring on my Starcraft on the by-pass going around Raliegh, NC. Called the Starcraft factory on my cel phone and they gave me the number of the local Starcraft dealer. When I called the dealer the factory had already contacted them but was told they did not make major repairs, instead farmed that work out to a local RV repair shop (which happened to be just around the corner from them) and that's where I had the pup towed to. That young fella that run that shop could not have been more helpful. And the pricing was very fair, although Dexter Axle ended up paying for the entire repair. And that outfit was Capital City RV ... could not have recommended them any higher then I already have!

If it was a repair shop that gave poor service we wouldn't hesitate to name him. I say we should be quicker to name the ones who do a good job and treat us fair.

As stated above this guy is Honest as the Day is long.....He didn't even charge us the full service call charge because he was coming out our way anyhow......( only charged half )
He talked to us about tires and what to look for and how to be looking for roof care and that most companies do not pre grease the wheel bearing's before we take them off the lot new and how important it is to service those bearing's. (every year )
Most of this we already knew just felt it was nice to have a heads up on this stuff......
Ok Wayne when's the Tupperware Party......;)
