We are all done shopping. We start in July looking for deals to avoid the mad rush. We try to get our tree early and we like to have our lights up first in our "hood". We ordered and paid for our x-mas tamales and all we have to do is pick them up on thursday morning. And there you have it - we are all set. PS Lori got her x-mas gift today and it's installed in her sewing room. :) :) :) :) :)

Carol, Carol, Carol--You should know better than to accept anything Dave says at face value. The shopping is not quite done; nothing is wrapped; we can't get our tree too early because our living room faces South, and if we get it too early, it dries out and becomes a fire hazard; and with the hours I've been working lately, I have just enough energy left to finish the inside decorations, but I'm not entirely sure I'll get lights up outside at all this year.

The only parts of Dave's post that aren't pulling your leg are the parts where the Christmas tamales are paid for and ready for pick up Thursday morning, and my birthday/Christmas present--a Koala sewing cabinet--arrived yesterday and is now set up and waiting for me to get back to quilting! And it included a Madeira Treasure Chest full of 194 spools of Rayon embroidery thread!

For some reason, I can't seem to get Webshots to insert the actual photos, but here are some links:
