looks nice.  I like "browns TOwn Campground"  it looks nicer.  But from one pic hard to tell.  Are they all in the same spot?

Probably the right time of year it would be fun...

I have been to Browns long time ago and the others are around the Bishop area I just found out about this a few weeks ago after we found each other   on Facebook after years.....They just posted a few pictures on my FB and it does look nice.....When and if the group wants to go I'll find out more info...Jim and I plan on taking a trip up there sometime in the future....

Brown's Millpond looks pretty nice. They have 19 campsites with water and electric plus a bunch of dry sites. No sewer, but they do have a dump station. Lot's of amenities like fishing, horseshoes, pond swimming, small store, coin-op laundry, etc. Close to Bishop if you want to go into town. Bishop has more to see than you might think just driving through. And it has one of the Erick Schat's bakeries!!

We took a look at the Brown's Town campground last summer. (Bishop is where we acquired Whitney.) It is probably the nicest of the "in-town" CGs in Bishop. The rest all looked more like trailer lots or parking areas. Brown's Town gets pretty good reviews too. Most reviewers only ding it for highway noise (it's right on 395) or early morning noise from the groundskeepers at the next door golf course. I would think careful site selection might limit these as issues. It has both hookups and dry sites, but again the hook up sites only have water and electric.

The only thing to keep in mind about Bishop is it gets HOT during the summer. It is not unheard of for the temperature to climb above 100 during July, August and even September. Then again, it is no unheard of for it to snow in June and October, even late-September. Also, it is usually dry in the Owens Valley during the summer months. So that heat feels like an oven. On the other hand, it isn't that long a drive to the cooler canyons of the Sierras, Mammoth Lakes, the Owens River, the Bodie Ghost Town and lot's of other interesting stuff. For example, if you ever wanted to see Lon Chaney's cabin it is conceivable to visit this on a day trip. :D

Brown's Millpond sounds like an excellent option for a rally. Looking forward to whatever other info you can find Carol.

Well.......if anyone is interested, we are driving through there in May, on our way to Bridgeport. We can stop and takes pictures if there is enough interest.

We've been through Bishop about a dozen times in the last couple years and only stop for gas (at the Indian Casino gas station).

By "PO", I assume that is referring to the "Post Office" that delivered your "mail".:J

Congrats are in order here! I always enjoy that sigh of relief when I eliminate another monthly bill.

Also, now you own it free and clear. So now you're ready to start looking for an upgrade.:yikes: Ha. Ha. Ha.
