We made reservations for Pt Mugu for March 11-14 (Thurs-Sun). I see that there are still 20 sites available.
http://www.reserveamerica.com/camping/Point_Mugu_Sp/r/campsiteSearch.do?site=all&type=9&minimal=no&search=site&criteria=new&contractCode=CA&parkId=120072&search=site

We would love to have others join us but I will just say that this season is very iffy, weather-wise. Pt Mugu is not a place that you would want to be if a Spring cold-front comes through. The wind can easily reach 70+MPH (for a short time) as the cold-front passes. The good news is, there is normally at least 3-5 days of warning of an approaching cold-front. When there is no cold-front, the weather is still and warm (70+ degrees)

Pt Mugu is 1st-come-1st-served, dry camping (water availble within 100' of each spot). When you get there, you pick your campsite and it may or may not be close to others in our group (depending on how late you arrive). We generally get there on Thursday afternoon and the place is pretty empty. If you get there Friday after about 4:PM, you get what you get. Saving spaces is prohibited and has proved to be challenging in the past. However, if you can get there Thursday or early Friday, there is a good chance that we can get spaces close to each other.

I (and others arriving) will park our TVs in the space next to us until someone asks for the space. Other than that, please don't ask to save spaces. It tends to be rather stressful.

You can use our generator. We don't use it anymore (solar panels).

Aren't you special.  Well Dawnne reminds me that soccer starts in March, so we may not be able to go anyway...we'll see.

You should have plenty of time to decide. I don't think that the CG will fill up this time of year. A lot of people are afraid of the place in the Winter/Spring (for good reason) because they don't know how to read the weather. Although, if the forecast is good, the week before, it may fill up fast.

We can't do more than one campout per month, and we're already set for Indian Cove. :(

We were thinking of heading out on Wednesday but it's supposed to blow on Wed so we'll head-up there on Thursday.

We like the paint on our truck, right where it is....;)

It should be a beautiful weekend.......We can hardly wait.:-()

The CG should be fresh and clean from a recent sand-blasting..... :)
