Christmas in July

Our next camp will be a Christmas in July outing. There are two parks close that have this festival every year. We've been to one park 2-3 times for it but this year we got ahead of the game and booked early in another park. Daughter, son-in-law and three grandkids will camp next to us.
We've already been planning our decorations as we camped on the same sites for Mother's Day.

I remember a few years ago we went camping at a campground that was doing Christmas in July. It was fun seeing many of the camp sites decorated for Christmas, some people went all out, will have to ask my wife if we have any pictures of that.

As much as we decorated last year our display was measly compared to what some had. One street was so lit up it was like daytime. There were a couple campers who reserved 2 sites next to each other just so they had enough room to put out all their lights, blow ups and decorations.

As kid growing up in Connecticut, my Dad paid for the season at a campground in Salem, CT. I don't know if they still do it, but back then they used to do Christmas in July. I think that was the first time I had ever heard of that. I think it's a fun concept.

The campground Rob (TinkerWell) is talking about was in Montana, that was the year we bought the new camper, 2019. We should have those photos somewhere, I looked yesterday for his old phone with no luck.

I found out today that our campground here in OOB is having a Christmas in July next weekend. Includes what they are calling a "Snow Ball Fight" (water balloons), Santa's Sleigh ride (golf cart), Golf Cart Parade, best site etc...
