We were in bed a few hours before the midnight hour. Our neighbors made sure we didn't miss it though, as it sounded like a war broke out down the street about 11:55. That went on until 12:30, then the drag races started.

I heard fireworks here and there all evening long, kind of got my dog real skittish. Fell asleep around 11 anyway, but at Midnight the "Shock & Awe" began, a war zone would have been an understatement!!! Absolutely crazy, and this is inside a campground (a campground surrounded by housing on 3 sides).

At least our neighbor who used to shoot off half sticks of dynamite moved.
Fireworks are supposed to be illegal to possess here, but 30 miles west you can buy them all day long.
