I just spent three days camped at Lake Bob Sandlin SP about 2 hours east of Dallas.  It s located along the shores of the lake and is an outstanding park if you are looking for shaded, well separated sites that have water and electric hookups.  I walked around the two loops and did not find a site that was bad.  None.  My favorite sites based on size of the site, amount of shade, privacy and depth of the site were 57-30-28-51 for regular sites and 13-12-11-37 for premium lakefront sites.

The bathhouses were tiled and very clean.  The showers all had dressing areas and doors.  The camp store is so-so with the usual selection of t-shirts and hats, etc.

There is a fishing pier, swimming beach and boat ramps but there are no playgrounds in the camping loops themselves.  Trails are well marked and are an easy hike.  There is a well stocked trout pond that draws a pretty good crowd.  An excellent park.

TrlrboyYou are right Bob. Lake Bob Sandlin SP is a great park. We were there last year and had site 11 on the water. Very shaded and well spaced sites. So far, this is probably our favorite SP.

They also grow very large walking sticks in the area. We had one on the side of the camper, above the door, that was aprox. 7 inches long.
