Hello-first post to the new board.  After several false starts I was able to log in-thanks Admin.!  I always kinda " lurked"  on the old board, but decided to jump in and get started right this year.  Just want to say I m looking forward to all the good times and info to be shared on the new board.  I am also wondering how many campers are on board who camp in the South.  We tend to stay close to home; SC, NC, Tenn., Georgia, when we camp.[:)]

scpreacherswifeWelcome to the new board!!! I am more  of a lurker than a poster. I have a sister in Erin TN and we get down there 3 or 4 times a year.

scpreacherswifeWelcome. Some fine campgrounds down here in Mississippi too.

scpreacherswifeI have " people"  in Erwin Tenn.  And we have been blessed enough to visit LA, Ala. and Mississippi several times-really neat and beautiful country.  The Husband just never seems to get enough time away to travel that far to pop up.  Maybe some day....

scpreacherswifeHi scpreacherswife - I think we corresponded once on the old board.  We re from Columbia and are new to PUing.  We finally branched out to do some camping in Florida over the holidays.  It was our first time going to two different camps in one trip.  We spent two days at Ft. Clinch in Fernandina and three days at St. Joe SP in the peninsula.  Things went well and we definetely plan to spread our wings a little farther from home this year.

scpreacherswifeWe are from Franklin, TN, which is just south of Nashville. Erin, TN is not too far from us. We generally camp in TN, because we have beautiful state parks that are pretty cheap, and we like staying in the state. So, take a look at our rig on our website (below), and look for us at state parks! (and at some unknown time this summer for probably a week at Townsend, TN s Little River Village Campground.

Franklin, TN???? Do you know Darrell Waltrip???[;)]

I m a big NASCAR fan (as I sure NO one could have guessed since my board name is " labontefan" )... I m a Bobby and Terry Labonte fan now, but DW was my first fave!

Oops! Forgot to answer the original question. I m from VA, so I qualify as Southern--the SW corner of VA, near TN and KY.  (In NASCAR geography, I m about 50 miles NW of Bristol Motor Speedway, and, YES, I have tickets to Bristol!![;)][:D])

Biskit4Camping

scpreacherswifeWe are from the Asheville NC area.  We camp mostly in the SC state parks.  One of our favorites is Table Rock SC.  About an hour and 15 min drive from here.  If we go to the beach we stay at Myrtle Beach State Park.

Have fun camping.......... I can not wait to start come on mid March!
