It’s not often you see a completely different concept for RVs. Most of the pop-up campers in north America seem to follow the same basic design with few exceptions. In the UK they have a different type of tent trailer which seems common there. In December of 2009, Dutch company, Your Suite in Nature rolled out a radically new design for pop-ups. Shaped like the Sydney Opera house and appointed with high end touches, it could easily be the most luxurious pop-up camper offered anywhere.
When I look at the Opera I’m reminded of graceful sail boats, Conestoga wagons, tee pees and of course the Sydney Opera House. All of these things have a romantic charm about them which makes the Opera a very compelling product in which to spend your time in nature. I would even say there is a refined and simple elegance similar to safari tents.
Given the complex shape I wondered about the ease of setup, but images from the manufacturer’s web site would suggest that getting the opera ready for living is a fairly simple task.
Sadly the Opera is not available in North American markets, at least not at this time.
