Quote from: 4Campers on Feb 24, 2025, 07:44 AMThat's cheap living. Nice upgrade on your plan.
Since we were gifted our first year TT dues not sure what cost will be next year. Daughter is looking to go seasonal at Indian Lakes, so that's where we'll end up camping this year. At least that means son-in-law will only have to tow our trailer every couple of weeks. Won't be any travelling in our immediate future since Donna has a few more years to work. And I don't own a TV.

Tim,
Is that Indian Lakes St Park NW of Columbus?
As in the 1968 song by the Cowsills "Indian Lake" ?

... Indian Lake is a scene
You should make with your little one
Just keep it in mind if you're lookin' to find
A place in the summer sun
Well, you can swim in the cove have a snack in the grove
Or you can rent a canoe (you can rent a canoe)
At Indian Lake you'll be able to make
The way the Indians do

Every time my mom bought something and my dad complained, her answer was always "But it was ON SALE!".
Shopping in the camping aisle is dangerous!

Have a great spring trip!

Well, I did it. Thousand Trails offered their Spring Fling deal, and I took it. A site from May 1 until June 22 for one price of $500, a total of 57 days. Camp is only a 45 minute drive from home.

Hope it isn't 6K. A couple of the CGs near us that I've inquired to run around 3-4K. Nothing like a Disney around here that would run prices up. But even at 4K for 6 months that's still close to $700 a month, add electric charge and that's darn near my mortgage payment. Who says camping is low budget?

Dang, hope it isn't anything serious. Take care!

TT generally comes up with some deals, likely run about $6k plus for a seasonal site. Each park has their own pricing. Here in Florida I think I can get a seasonal site at TT Peace River (TTPR) for about half the price of a seasonal at TTO (Orlando). The proximity of TTO to the Disney World drives the price up significantly.

So, our first camp experience may end up a long one. TT has offered a Spring Deal, $500 for a FHU site from 5-1 to 6-22. If we end up staying for the season, that $500 applies to balance.

With a camping reservation in the books and our warm sunny weather this week it spurred us into action. We went to the mart shopping, bought a new grill and some food storage containers for the camper. Spent several minutes in the camping section just browsing.
I made a couple dozen fire starters yesterday. Had a couple candles and a box of wax I got for free, used shredded paper and cups. Enough wax left for several dozen more.
