Tim,
It's time for you to watch "The Long, Long Trailer" (1953, Lucille Ball & Dezi Arnaz).  Either again or for the first time.  Always room for one more thing reminds me of the scene in the movie where Lucille Ball's character admits to having collected a special rock at every place they visited.  ;D   It's super corny, funny and worth the watch.  It's on Amazon Prime if you're a member, or you can buy the DVD at Amazon if you have a DVD player.  I think some of the other streaming services have it too.  The scene about backing up the trailer is my favorite!

The snow is coming down here in Cincy. As much as we used to live in the Great White North I still don't like seeing that white stuff falling out of the sky. More now than ever I guess since it's been 35+ years since we left the GWN. And probably because this darn old body likes warmth more now.

However, that means it's dream and shop season. What do we want for the camper? What changes can I dream up? The wife has been looking at FB RV Modifications, Tips and Hints which may be dangerous! Between DD and Santa we got lots of new camping gear, but there's always that one more thing, right? :D

From what I've seen, Sun Corporate keeps all their parks on a short leash.

Indeed, 2024 was a tough year and I hope 2025 is better!

Cliff, we stayed in a "cottage" at a Sun Outdoor campground in Oregon in mid-December to be able to go see a humongous Christmas light exhibit.   The place was super clean and the staff was very nice and helpful.  It's definitely a place we would go back to.  If they run all their locations like the one we saw, it must be a nice place to work.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Cliff. 2024 was not the best for me either. The only happy last year was getting the new to us camper.

One month and we can start making reservations! Hoping to get out in mid-April for our first time!

2025 better be good for everyone!

With another year behind us, and considering how bad that year was for me, I'm glad it's over, we get to move on to 2025 with a positive outlook.

Though I wasn't able to find suitable employment this winter in Florida (which I usually can't seem to find), they want year round campground workers, not seasonal) I don't really mind, I can survive without a job, and getting 6 months off per year is pretty nice actually!

I'm working a few leads for summer workamper jobs up in New England, have already interviewed with 3 parks up in Bar Harbor Maine (Acadia National Park area), and have a standing offer from the park I was at last summer. Today I applied for a job at a privately owned campground in Massachusetts. So I'm sure I'll get something up there, or go back to Sun Outdoors Saco/OOB in Maine. Amother year, another fist full of dollars!

I hope everyones new year works out for the best!!!

Merry Christmas to everyone here!! Had Christmas dinner at Thousand Trails Orlando with a small group of friends, including Bill King ("TrailBlazer" from the old PUT/PUX). We even mentioned this group briefly at some point this afternoon!!!

Dave, sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. At 101 he's had a pretty full life, doubt I'll make it that far (another 30 years for me).

Hi Tim,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and everyone else too.

My dad died the day after Thanksgiving at age 101.  He died in his sleep in his own apartment.  It's about the best he was hoping for at his age and health.  We'll have family around, but it's one person smaller this year.

Wishing all who read this the merriest season. Most of 2024 was a wreck for me so hoping next year will be better.
We'll be back to camping so 2025 can't be any worse. :)
