GA Sps---DH and 2 DS also visited Cloudland Canyon Sp in Ga last month and we're headed there next week too. Close to Chattanooga attractions, very nice. Has disc golf and tennis, in addition to hikes to waterfalls (when there's no drought.)

They were there June 16-19 and again June 23-24. What did you think of it?

everything was great but the showers need to be updated.if fact i was very close to soft scrubing both showers myself.

the senery was spectacular as well as the attractions in the area.civil war historic site intrigued me as well as my son(7).i was brought to tears with a artifact display ..my son and I were just outside point park at one of the "traps" looking at the display  and as i,m explaining the artifacts i happened across a wedding ring and it was about the same size as mine..i don,t know what came over me and as i type this post there is tears in my eyes..the ring personalized it .anther lady tourist  saw me place my ring up as well and she was overwhelmed also .....
   i came away from this trip with lots of emotion...the one that stands out the most is ,that even how tragic the loss of life was ..is that as a nation with the guidance of a president,, that even though it wasn,t popular on both sides he stuck to his principles..how ironic...
   have lots to say ...but thats enough for now...it feels great to be american  :usflag:

Wow, we're leaving tomorrow for there. DH did not go to Point Park, but it was already on my must-do list. Thanks!

Also, did you stay on the Eas/West rim? DH isn't so crazy about solitude and chose the East, but said that I would prefer the West.

I went there a couple of weeks ago myself. Stayed on the West Rim. It was great. The sites are spaced well, shrubbery betwwen sites, and back up to woods. Would love to go there agin someday!
