 from Fan-Tastic Vent.
Well, it arrived in the mail today from the PUT store which I ordered on 4/27 for a total of $58.50 (with Arvee discount).  Ran out to the car and plugged it in, .......  Awesome fan!!!
It has 3 speeds which are all extremely quiet.  Very low amp draw.  It really moves A LOT of air!  There are 10 blades and everything on the fan appears to be very durable.  I ll be trying it out in the PU tomorrow, but I m sure it will work as well as it just did in the car (engine off btw).  It comes with a 4  10"  cord and a " cigarette"  plug attatched.  The legs swing in so they won t get snapped off when stored.  I have decided to keep the box it came in for storage so it doesn t get smashed up.
It is too large (13.5" x14.5" x3" (with legs folded in)) to fit through the cabinet doors, but I think I ll store ours in the front storage trunk.
This should be terrific when dry camping as we only had 2 - 12 volt bunk-end fan/light combo s.  This fan as a matter of fact, has a lower amp draw than the small bunk-end one s if I m not mistaken.  When camping with full hook-up s (or at least E), our oscillating fan and this one should turn our PU into a wind tunnel now, lol.

 Update;
Well, as I was trying the fan out one more time in the car before packing it up, my 3 year-old conducted a safety test utilizing his fingers.  This fan s rating just went up a notch as his little finger s could not get through the grate and into the blades from the front or the back.  Which in turn, saved me from impending doom from my DW.  I hadn t even considered this aspect yet, but thanks to my thorough assistant, it passed the kid-finger test with flying colors!
I also want to add again that this fan really gets the air moving, even on the lowest setting.

Red neff BarchettaGreat!  I hope to get one soon.

Red neff BarchettaThought I d add that I ran the fan today in the PU and it worked great.  Even on the highest setting it sits still and doesn t " dance"  around.  I didn t think to try the oscillating fan next to it for comparison, but this one really gets the air moving!  I checked my battery before I ran the fan and got a reading of 11.8 volts.  I then ran the fan on high (setting 3) for 35 minutes with nothing else on (except the LP detector light).  I then checked the battery again and it read 11.7 volts.  During operation I got a reading of 10.6 volts.
Also, after the test I turned on both overhead lights (4 bulbs) and then turned the fan on (to high) and there was not even a hint of drop in brightness from the lights.
With all that said however, it still needs to go through the " test of time"  which it will get this summer as we will be doing a ton of camping.
So far, I m very impressed with this product!

We can do even better than that Moose.
You re more than welcome to try it out for a day or so since my other fan (oscillating) will work as well with the hook-up s.

Red neff BarchettaI ll just have to SCCamper over to your rig.[:D][:D]

Red neff BarchettaRed my big question is can the fan keep up with all the hot air? [:D]

Nice review I looked at one of those fans when they first came out for the price I hoped they were good stuff and it sounds like they are.  What s the amp draw on yours?

Funny thing is Red did even better than Just lending OldMoose the fan for a day or two.
You had to be there at the Gold Rush Rally just to see what a nice guy ole Red is[:D]

Red neff BarchettaDave from PUT came to our rally and brought some " door"  prizes. One was the fan.  Jeff had lent me his to try, we liked it, and low and behold he won the fan door prize. He then gave it to me. I was very flustered, but did say thanks you to Jeff and Dave. I was a very humble Moose.

Red neff BarchettaPurchased ours last week.  PopUpTimes (spoke to Dave himeself) store even sent it out second day air, at my request,  so we would get it for the weekend.  This little fan works very well.  It preformed great.

Picked up a couple of 12V outlets at Wally World and rigged up one of the overhead plug in lights.  Now I need more outlets in the camper or maybe a phono plug on the end of a cord with an outlet on the other end for the fan.

Red neff BarchettaWe won one at the Eastern Rally 2003. I haven t been able to use it until today, as I FINALLY finished my 12V outlet mod. It really moves a lot of air for sucha small fan!

I ve got it out there running on my camper s battery to see how long it will run on a fully charged battery. Will try and come back and add that info to this post.

PS: Looks like it ran for about 24 hours on the high speed, on a fully charged battery. I am charging the battery again now. I want to test it on the low speed.
