OK!  Inquiring minds want to know:

If you could camp 365 days a year in your choice of rig and where ever you chose, what would you do?

Starcraft Dad

Turn KeyA 30 day trip would be fine.  But when you go camping it feels " special."   Your doing something that you can t do all the time.  For me it would lose that special feeling and be just another ho hum day at home.

Turn KeyI answered," 6 months" ,and have to admit that my response is a compromise-I would love to " full time it" ,but dw doesn t much care for the idea.Tough choice !

 You too, huh?[;)]

Turn KeyI think half-time sounds good!  I like being home, too, and some day when I get to be as old as Gene ([;)]) and can retire, I LOVE the idea of taking off whenever the mood strikes.

Turn KeyI choose 6 months, because--- Once we retire, we hope to spend a couple of weeks traveling to Arizona, then 2 or 3 months there, then a couple of weeks back. Hopefully we will still be in shape to Cross Country Ski while we re in VT, and so we won t be selling the " homestead"  to Full-time, but 6 to 9 months a year camping sounds wonderful!

Turn KeyWe have camped for 56 continuous days in a row, and we weren t getting tired of it yet.

But it gets COLD up here in the northeast...for three or four months a year.  At first, camping in the cold might be fun, too, but once the water lines were frozen and I had to change LP tanks in the snow (at 2 AM), it wouldn t be fun any more.  I d give me 9 months.

AustinBostonAB, remember there is no limitation on the " where" [;)]!

Turn KeyI think once the kids are grown, I would jump at the chance to full time, but right now, that s just TOO much togetherness for me.  After about a week of camping I start looking forward to going back to work so I can rest.

Turn KeyWe sure would do it!...our last trip to the camper show was with  Full Timing in mind. (of course that is still a few years off[: (])

Our style of camping would definately have to change  some.  We think we found the perfect  traveling home.  For full timing we figured we would need just a little more space than the Aliner allows us.

Keep the votes coming guys.  Surprisingly, the results are coming out just about the way I figured.

Turn Key[:)] Oh DEFINITELY 365 days a year!!!   We d both love to full time it and dream of the day we ll be able to! If I won the lottery tomorrow I d travel all over the US until I d seenit all and had decided where I wanted to stop.

Turn KeyWe have a ten day vacation in the spring and a 24-30 day vacation in the fall plus lots of three-6 days spread out here and there and it is never enough time camping.  we usually move every 3-5 days so we are not staying in the same place.  With the fires out west aain this year we may be chaning our southern Utah vacation to western Pennsylvania.

Turn Keywhat i would like is to go in one or two months spurts whenever i felt like it...and of course that means if i want to stay gone longer, then i can.
