 Has anyone tried the new Igloo 5 day cooler?

 Dee4jI have 2 of them and they work much better than a regular cooler.

 Dee4jI bought the Igloo because it had a latch and the Coleman diddn t.  Well, after 1 season the latch quit latching, it seems there is a small area you slide the latch closed
 that wears out.
 We ended up using a bungie cord to keep it closed, another plastic latch will just do the same thing.
 
 Then at Target this spring I found the Cloeman Extrreme clearanced for  $20, bought it. I like it, it stays closed and seems to perform just a little better than the Igloo.

 Dee4jOur Igloo 5 day does work much better than our regular cooler, especially when we use the techni ice, but it doesn t look like the sides are as thick as the Coleman.  I just can t justify buying another. I have three large coolers in the basement now, and three or four smaller ones.  Just kept seeing " better"  ones.  LOL...decided I better wait at least until I can get rid of a few I have!  [;)]

 vjm1639[font=" comic sans ms" ]We have both the Igloo 5 day and the Coleman Xtreme.  I agree with FC on the latch problem ~ ours still works fine, but I know it isn t going to last.  We took both with us on our last outing and the Xtreme definitely out-performed the Igloo.  
 If I had it to do over ~ I would have purchased a second Xtreme ... [/font]

 Dee4jWe ve had our Igloo for about 3 years, and have no problem with the latch.  Although we were extremely pleased with it at first, it has not been performing well recently (does the insulation start to fail with age, maybe?).  Anyway, we bought a Coleman Extreme after our Budweiser cooler was stolen at a campsite in Panama City Beach, FL, and it performed much better than the Igloo that sat right beside it throughout the vacation.

 Buy the Coleman Extreme. We have two of them and they work great for us.

    I have never had much luck with Igloo coolers so I don,t buy them any more.
