My DG loves having a separate screenroom set-up, but the one we have is a pain to set up..... too many poles, takes too long.  Anyone have suggestions for a screenroom that is a snap to setup and stores easily?

 Thanks.

TheWallRocksI have one of the Play Hut screenrooms.  Pull it out of its storage bag and it pops up and open in about 3 seconds.  Stake it to the ground and you re done.  No poles to insert.  Only drawback is that it is only 6  x 6 .  Costs less than $50.

TheWallRocksI have the Paha Que screen room that they sell here in the store.  Poles are shock corded and easy to set up.  I do it with the help on a 12 year old child.  It takes 5 to 10 minutes.  The screening is very fine to keep even small bugs out.  All 4 sides have " awnings"  that come down to enclose the side.  The are great when it is raining and blowing.  When it is cold out we close 3 sides and only open the 4th side part way and run our Buddy propane heater.  The sides keep enough heat in that you can use the room and be comfortable.  I would get one again without hesitation.  The best price I have found on the room is here at PUT.

 TheWallRocksTheWallRocks,

Forget the free standing screenroom. Find someone who had an Add-A-Room thrown in with their trailer (but doesn t use it) and buy it from them. You can enter & leave the trailer and sit outside both while being bug free. An additional 5 minutes to the setup time and 10 to the takedown is all it requires. No poles either!

With the free standing room, you enter or leave the trailer (and so do the bugs), cross to the free standing room (with the bugs) and enter or leave the free standing room (with the bugs).

Life is much easier with an AAR!

TheWallRocksAl we use both, but the screen room is bigger so we use it more.

TheWallRocksEarlier this year I lucked out and found an open box Hillary screen room at Sears for $20.  They still have them on the website for $89.99.  We set this up for the first time today--mainly to make sure all the parts were in the box AND because I didn t want to look like a total idiot setting it up in front of a whole bunch of PUT storytellers. [;)]  It was SO much easier than the old one we had.  Shock-corded poles; all poles on the outside, etc.  It was easy for two of us to set up and seems really roomy.  I can t wait to try it out in a week!  This screen room is definitely a keeper!

TheWallRocks$20???? WOW Jan, now THAT s a deal!     DH and I were trying to figure out this weekend if we d ever even use one if we had it.  We have yet to even put up our awning. We had a separate awning when we tent camped for years and I can only think of even two times we ever used it. I like being in the outdoors...but heck, for $20...I wouldn t think twice about getting it!  That really looks like a nice one.
