Has anyone heard or seen the V-Rack made by Advantage Sports Rack?  It hooks onto, instead of into, the tow hitch, thereby allowing you to use the tow hitch.  I m wondering if it allows enough clearance to still tow a trailer with.  A revew on it in the RV Journal Summer 2003 says that " this one can be used even when towing a dinghy or trailer and can be removed without first unhitching the towed vehicle."

So, anyone seen it or used it?  The company is out of Bellingham, WA.  If someone lives near there, go by the store and check it out!

Camping CoxesNever heard of it.  Anyone have a picture of it or web address for the company?

angelsmom10Thanks Nancy.  I had looked on their website and originally saw the product in the RV Journal.  I just didn t go the extra step to add the links (I don t know how, either!).

I called the company and left a message requesting a brochure on the product.  Hopefully they have one.  We can fit our four bikes into the Suburban, but it takes a lot of time and breakdown.  This would fit two of them, and since only two of them have to have the tires removed to load them, that would solve the problem.  IF you can use it with your trailer attached, as it claims, it would really be an answer to the age old problem of taking bikes that all pop-uppers have.

Camping CoxesHere is an alternative to the V-Rack.  Since I would need an extension anyway, why not get this new Duel Extension and then I can use my old rack.

Camping CoxesHere s what we use. I think it is made by Acar Industries, bought at Camping World. I did have to buy a slightly longer drawbar, as mine was about a 1/4"  too short. I think I like mine better than the one you show, because I drilled new holes in the " post" , or upright piece of metal, so that I could have more clearance over the camper.
