All,

After last weekend, in the sun, I thought it was time to get a screen room to cover the picnic table and maybe a little extra room to put things in when it rains. I have no idea what is out there, what is good and what is not so good. Of course with all the work there is in set up and tear down I think looking for something that is very light and durable, and ez to put up. Your help is very much needed. Thanks

I just recently purchased a Eureka EXO screen room from Campmor on the internet. Cost was $105.00 plus $7.00 for shipping. Nice unit and seems like good quality. You can check either the Campmor or Eureka Tents websites for more information. I also received an email from Coleman.com which has their Intsa-Clip Screen Shelter on sale marked down from $79.99 to $55.00. You can also buy that from Target for the same price on-line or in the store. That one looks pretty good too.

If you are not happy with the Coleman...I have the Paha Que that is sold in the PUT store.  I am very happy with it.  It is well built, tight screening and easy to put up.  The sides have flaps that can be rolled up, put out for awnings or closed.  When it is cold it is nice to have the flaps closes and run a heater inside.:)

Hi Tracy,

I have seen the Paha Que screen room advertised (my dealer threw in their teepee for me to use w/my outside shower). How difficult is the screen room to put up? Is it something one person can do alone?

Thanks for the link. Setup does look pretty straightforward (although it would've been more impressive if they'd shown just one person setting it up :p ). Haven't decided yet if I really need the screen room or maybe just a shade canopy, which I'm assuming would be a little less bulky to haul along.

I have done it by myself, but it is a little harder to do.  Paha Que recommends 2 people to set it up.  The first pole isn't hard to do by yourself, but the second one is harder.  You need to get the first pole arched up like it will be when it is set up, so that the second pole will fit.  I have some close up pictures of the screen room on my webshots account.  It really is a high quality screen room.:)

While I have an add-a-room on my Pop Up, back in the days of tent camping, I had those monster assembly screen rooms - which are now bagged and ready to toss!  Wal-Mart and Sam's had the 'umbrella' assembly screen rooms this past spring and my daughter bought one for under $100, and she said the set up was a breeze - large and high enough for her 6'4" to enter easily, it's been great.  I don't own one yet, but may get one this coming season.
