I am in the market for a pop up. Never owned one before don't know really what is best. Found an 05 clipper new for about $4,500 10' box and 2 full bunks. The dealer sirpilla told me that Viking makes the clipper?and so the quality is the same as a viking? The other camper I am looking at is  rockwood 2280 has queen bunks on both ends 12' box. sell for $4,999 .my wife and I are leaning towards the clipper any advice?

We have a Fleetwood Yuma with a 9.5' box, which we like very much.  I'm not sure any camper is completely perfect.  If we were to change, we'd go 10' box and put a queen on both ends.  We have a queen on one end and a full on the other.  The full is fine for our 10 year old, unless she brings a friend, which we do fairly often.  It would be nice to have queens on both ends in that situation.  The queen is fine for DW and I.

Do you have children?  If so, you may want to consider the 2 queens.

1st we need to know what is your TV. need to make sure you can tow your new PU safely.
2nd have you considered renting first to get the feel of a PU.
3rd make sure to sit in the ones you look at and make sure the floorplan will suit your family.

Adding my two cents. +.02!
We have a 2004 Rockwood, model #2280. We love our camper except for 1 thing! We we bought it, we were under the impression that we had hot water at the facuet. We were wrong! Double check the Rockwood you are looking at and make sure you have hot water capacity. In fact do this for any model, don't assume it's there even if they tell you so.
This spring before we get back to some serious camping with all of our SCCamper friends; we will get the coleman "Hot water on demand" unit and solve our problem.
