Hi All -

I emailed the good folks at propaneproducts.com asking them to help a clueless customer (me!) hook up my Weber Q to my quick connect connection for the outside stove top.  They promptly replied that this could not be done, because of high pressure/low pressure, double regulated issue.

I replied thanking them for answering my inquiry and mentioned a few ideas for options, and noted how disappointed I was that I wouldn't be able to simply tap off the pups outside quick connect.

A few days later, they replied to inform me that they had come up with a solution!   The retail price of $89.95 might seem high, but keep in mind  that all the fittings and hoses for propane connections are expensive - and the convenience of a professionally built connection from your outside stove connection to your gas grill via FIFTEEN foot hose and I think this is a winner.

I have seen postings where people have done their own mods that do the same thing, and that's great, but for those of us with less knowledge about propane, and/or are a little cautious about propane, or are just not that handy, this is fantastic.

I really have o thank propaneproducts.com for a TREMENDOUS customer service experience!  THANK YOU!

Looks good there.
We also thought that this could be done, and so got to looking through the RV part and accessories catalog and found the Marshall Extend-A-Flow in there. I thought it was pricey at 53.00, but got it anyway. It only has a 12 ' hose but it works wonderful on our George Foreman Portable Propane grill. This way we only have to carry the one tank of propane on the PUP and did away with the extra tank i usually carried and/or those small green tanks. If  you need extra parts you can find them on the Marshall web site at http://www.marshallbrass.com/rv.htm   and here is a link to the Foreman grill if anybody is interested.  Have a good Day   :eyecrazy:

Thanks for this thread!  I have had these ideas as well and wasn't sure on whether it could be done.  Got to show DH as we were planning on bringing an extra tank with us this year for the grill and HWOD.

I've looked at doing this also.  The problem with this setup is if you have dual tanks with auto-switchover.  You would have to move this connection to the other tank.  I use a Baby Q when camping.  I will probably be modifying like another pup owner did, you can see pics here.  I guess I could always get a second fitting to go on the tank, but I'm sure they are not cheap.  The only reason I'm thinking about this is I only use the Baby Q while camping.  It's a great grill.

Thats pretty similar to This We've been using it for several years now to run our Road Trip and, on one occasion, a turkey fryer. Hard to beat.

Great customer service? Thats really hard to beat!
