We went to Mammouth Cave over Memorial Day Weekend and stayed at the Horse Cave KOA. It was convenient to everything but it didn't have any of the bells and whistles some other campgrounds have. The pool was nice and crowded and the putt-putt was over run with weeds. We didn't spend a lot of time there so it didn't seem to bother us too much. It was very quiet at night and also clean. I heard that Jellystone Park is great but it was a little bit more $ and for memorial day weekend we had to book for a minimum of 3 nights and we only stayed 2. You can also camp in the state park but I'm not sure if they have electric

My husband and I took our nephews (ages 16 and 12) with us. We loved the Frozen Niagra Cave Tour! My advice would be to order your cave tour tickets from the park ahead of time. We also went on a hike in the park the following day. THere is a lot to see outside of the caves and plenty of tacky gift shops too! Overall it was a great trip and I'd do it again in a heart beat. It was beautiful. Enjoy!
