I found this one on the web.  I also found out that Pepboys is now selling the same one.  Anybody have any experience with it?  I want to put it on the back of the popup while traveling.   Apparently, it mounts to your license plate and you can velcro the monitor on top of the driver visor to look at it when you need to.   I could use some user's reviews on it.

I think it would be good to use when you are going to back the TV up to the trailer.  I often do that by myself.:)

I wonder if the use of a Minnesota plate was trying to say something... :(

Well, I ordered it from Walmart for $99 plus tax/shipping so about $110 in all.  I should get it in a few weeks.  Walmart seems to ship it from the slow boat from China....  :eyecrazy:

Did your slow boat ever come in?  How did the camera/monitor work?

I would be concerned about the distance from the camera to the monitor, and the mass of the trailer in between.  The FAQ for the camera states that the camera can reach 19'.

Thanks...

:yikes: 2 1/2" screen..............that's what my digital camera has. I think that you may have to hold the screen up to your face.

I just got a 7" (12V) monitor for $100 ($208 for 2, including S&H). Here's one that goes on the sun-visor:

They have cameras too but they are hard wired:

You can buy those little wireless video cameras on eBay all day long for under $60 and I believe they have a 200' range.

2 1/2" is pretty small. I know that I have to put on my reading glasses and get up close to see the screen on my digital camera.

The boat did finally come in.  However, after looking at it with a friend, decided that it was too complex to install and returned it minus the shipping cost.  When they say "wireless", it's not wireless at all.  It needs to be plugged into the rear brake lights.  Not exactly what I had in mind.  The wiring goes all over the trunk to get to the rear brake lights.  I never messed with car wiring before and didn't want to mess it up.  My wife who uses the Honda Odyssey day in and day out didn't want me to touch the van at all and looked at it as just another "goofy idea that I had".
I wanted to be able to switch it effortlessly between TV and popup.  Also it looks really complicated to "wire the monitor" to the TV without using the accessory outlet.  I am no electrician.  I was hoping to get PEP Boys to install it, but they don't install it either, they just sell it.  I thought that was surprising/disappointing.

I am now thinking of a slightly different angle to accomplish the same thing.  I am thinking of purchasing one of those GPS monitors with a video in; then using a "cheap" wireless cam and using that.   I would use that then just for towing.
