I'm looking at a Starcraft pop up, 2007.

Does anyone have any recommendations about their reliability, quality, customer service?

Thanks,

Can't comment on the new camper because I'm still enjoying one of their old ones (an '87 Nova).   But I have called their parts and tech assistance depts. and the customer service is the best I've ever come across.

I've had and refurbished two old starcrafts - a 1976 and currently a larger, but older, 1973.

Unfortunately, there are no Starcraft dealers near me, or I'd probably be a 'regular' in their dealership, either drooling over the new ones or pestering their service dept for tips on my old one- I love Starcraft!

On the road and on the 'net, I've yet to hear a bad word about Starcraft.  I have talked to other campers while camping and they LOVE their starcrafts.

They seem to be as much a quality pruduct now as they were in their heyday - I certaily see MANY of these old 70's units still in use - and you can still get parts for them.  The company has excellent customer service, but more important to me - a big do-it-yourselfer, they provide anyone with plenty of information; simple, often universal parts and instructions; whether you are the original owner or not.   I've looked at other brand campers, and seen many that were under various stages of refurbishing or repair.  I get an impresion from this that starcraft makes their systems ingeniously simple - less to break, less complicated to fix, and they use a good balance of quality materials for the limitations of weight and price that are naturally imposed in building a trailer.

If their new campers are anything like their older ones - you would be making a good investment!

we have own a 73 pu, 2000, pu, and now a 2003 hybrid,
all and all we are happy with starcraft. never had any major problems with the pu's, were threw nor'easters, winter camping, and all no problems. the service dept is very helpful.

I have had an RT series for a couple of years now and I love it.  I have never had a problem with it, and we have towed it from Idaho to Napa Valley and back, and Idaho to Tennessee when we moved in addition to trips closer to home.  When DW and I were looking at PUPs, we just felt like the Starcraft felt the most solid.  I haven't done much modding to it, but have been quite happy with the stock design plan

Good luck on your decision.
