MTNDAVEWeather bug says it is 68 degrees here but I m not sure that they are completely correct.  My thermometer on the back porch says 71.  I think it is supposed to warm up to somewhere around 78 today but it will be partly cloudy.

MTNDAVEThe hi here today was 31.  It s suppose to get down into the mid teens tonight.  While not as cold as you up north, for the D/FW area, that s cold.

kathybrjAs I told my DS yesterday before we found out they closed the school due to the cold....I had to walk 3 miles uphill both ways thru 12 foot snow drifts to get to school in minus 45 degree temps.  We were lucky we had shoes...and if we were to cold...we had to catch critters and tie them to ourselves for the heat.

kathybrjWe are having one of those "  real winters"  too. Lots of snow and bitter cold this week.  Last weekend was 25 to 28 degreesF so the kids and I spent most of Saturday and Sunday afternoon sledding down nearby hills.  Lots of fun!!!  Temperatures are supposed to get close to the freezing mark by Sunday, so I guess we can last until then.  I was watching a news story last night on CNBC about 27 degree weather expected through parts of Florida last night.  Not sure what happened but I really feel for the citrus growers.  Hopefully the temperature stayed up above freezing!
