The nicest by far is flying flags in Buelton, by Solvang. I am really partiual now to Pt Magu SP. Actually, Santa Paula wasn't bad either, forgto the name of the camp ground. When your having fun with a great group of people, enjoying friendships, eating and drinking it doesn't matter where you are...does it?.

Carpinteria SB - try to check the tide charts to enjoy the tide pools. Closer to the beach means further from the trains.  The first loop has better bathrooms (newer, individual rooms/showers) but the other 2 are not bad, just old.)

El Capitan SB - just got back from our first trip there.  Very nice there.  The 3rd loop (61 to 91) has the newer bath/showers.  Again, the closer to the water is the further from the trains...  There is a bike path that connects to Refugio SB that is currently closed until further notice.

We found out that if you are camping at one you get free day us at the other so we loaded up the kids and enjoyed the beach at Refugio.  Vegetable oil, Olive oil, Baby oil, and we heard (but will not try :yikes: ) that WD40 will remove the TAR from your skin...
