mrflindersI tend to go for the old fashioned names like Willa, Lily, Tessa, Jenna, Sophie.

CAMPNMOM

Firefyter-EmtHad my son been a girl, the name would have been Jadrienne Kay ( Jade for short).

C. Hains

mrflindersIf we had had another girl my husband always said we would name her Phoebe or Philadelphia (and call her Philly)  --  that s why we never had any more!
I have a granddaughter named Katie and she is as pretty and as sweet as her name.  That s my favorite name. I have four other granddaughters -- Lauren, Allison, Jessica and Amanda.  I love them all -- the kids and the names!
Good luck in picking one out.  Whatever you choose it will fit her just right!

mrflindersCongrats Lee and Andrea, I know it s a worry, and you wonder how you will handle another, but you just do I think.  Then you bring them home, and suddenly they are cooing and smiling, and crawling, and trying to walk and, you wonder how you would have lived without the new little person.

Now Andrea, don t go upsetting yourself about it if you have another son.  After all from a biological perspective, it s Daddy that decides the gender, not Mom.

We looked and looked for a name for our third.  We hated the name she was given at birth, and once the adoption is complete we choose her new name, so we wanted to go ahead and call her what we will name her.  So we looked and looked, didn t necessarily want another K name, but the other two already had K names.  You never know how she will feel about being adopted, so we didn t want to single her out on name too.  Plus, almost anything we chose, to us, was better than her birth name.

So, we tried on different names, but it had to be something that went with Kaleb and Kaitlind.  Low and behold, I found Hayleigh in a book, and we liked it, but it wasn t K so we just made it that way, and so we now have a Kayleigh.  Haven t found any other baby girls with that name, and yet it isn t too off beat.

Now we just have to decide if she will be Kayleigh Elizabeth or Kayleigh Alizabeth.  Since we have Kaleb Alexander and Kaitlind Alene, we are leaning to the A, but it is so different so maybe not.

mrflindersI like the " E"  a lot!  Just make sure her initals don t spell anything to funky!!  Mine are ATT, my sisters are STD!!  I always double check initals!!  I don t have any worries if it s a boy, I m a confident boy-Mommy!  I know what to expect, the geography, etc.  It s the thought of a girl that s a little scary!  Either way, we will hopefully know on March 13th, so I ll let you all know! [:D]

Acts 2:38 girl

mrflindersOK, I m reviving this post because Thursday we are hopefully finding out if we do have a little girl in there.  I asked my great-Aunt about some old family names and she told me of a great lady who took in my great-grandmother when her family split up and her name was Ruth Emma.  This name really clicked for me!   Although there is the hazard of calling her " Baby Ruth"   hmmm...[;)]
We ll keep you posted Thur PM about the results!!

QuoteSo far we like Isabel (?) Thomas as the first pick... how about it people, working with our last name, give me your ideas

I know you would love to have a baby girl.  BUT, it  might be another bouncing baby boy.  I gave up after 5 boys.  My youngest is 9 the oldest is 25 years old. However, I now have a granddaughter.  Good luck on getting your little girl.  Let us know.

mrflindersAfter 3 boys in a row, DH said if this was a boy He wants to know because he needs time to psyke himself up!

Yesterday my son lost his second bird to the cat [>:] [:(] [:o] [:@] I knew I d have to tell him when he got out of school, and broke the news right away.  If all boys are as laid back as him, I ll take another one anyday!!  All he said was, " Oh man....can I get another one tomorrow?"   I waited all day for tears, saddness, any form of emotion.  My other two are pretty laid back also.  I ve heard girls are also a lot more whiney, but haven t really experienced this myself.  I love my boys!  I wouldn t mind another one at all.

bikoleeBikolee, DH and I were surprised the first two times - but the third time we knew what we were having.  The surprises were fun - but the knowing was awesome!  It was so wonderful referring to the baby as " he"  and knowing that s really what he was!!!

Today is Wednesday - I m going crazy here waiting to hear what the sex of the baby is!  Please post immediately after getting home and calling friends and family - cause we ll be thinking of you!
