Joe BuskirkMy last trip has already been completed...... I will store my camper on my lawn as I have since I bought it (2 years). This is kind of a depressing topic[:(], in Maine the season ends early but I can always pull south it I get the urge I guess.

Joe BuskirkNow that we haved moved from CT with 6 months of winter to sunny FL, I don t think the camper will ever be officially stored!

Maybe she should advertise and rent out some the space for other PU s

Joe BuskirkWe leave  in 2 weeks for San Felipe, Baja Mexico,[8D] then up to So Cal to visit friends. Hopefully a weekend camping on the beach, then up the coast to maybe Santa Cruz, back over to Tahoe and into the garage before the snow flies[:(]

We are hoping maybe to bring the PU out of the garage in March for a trip down to Death Valley, but that depends on how much or little snow is in the driveway!!

tahoecampersWe were supposed to be out this weekend for a Halloween trip for the kids, but they(and I) came down sick, so I guess we re done for the year.[:@]

And, I m out of vacation time for the year.[:@]

tahoecampersI am happy to say that we camp year round. Our south Texas weather permits this as we do not have much of a winter(No snow!). Actually we don t camp much in the summer (July August), due to the heat and humidity (even with A/C) so we love to camp in the fall, winter, and spring. Once football season is over (DD is in the high school marching band) we really start hitting the campgrounds. Yeah!!!!!
We have a trip planned for Thanksgiving. We are going to visit relatives but come and go from camp to do this. Relatives are fairly close by.
I feel bad for those of you that have such short camping seasons. I think I would go stir crazy and have camping withdrawls. [:(]
Heres to an early spring for you guys! [;)]

Joe BuskirkLooks like out last trip was to Hickory Run, we were going to go Columbus day Weekend, but then we realized that Jeffrey has off Friday and we have off Monday. This is the" normal"  Columbus day weekend for this school system.

Giffster

Joe BuskirkMove south so ya don t have to store the pu.  It s prime camping time here.

 Cheers

GiffsterHey Doug.... I know it s still a long way off, but I may be headed for Niceville in the spring!  Maybe we finally can get together!

Joe BuskirkI can t believe the season is coming to a close!  It went by to fast this year.  we were hoping to do a Halloween trip for our last one but didn t make the reservations.  So I guess we are done after only 3 trips (had so many more planned, but...)

The popup is snug and tight in it s little place in the garage for now.  When we move this December, it ll be moved to a bigger garage on our new place. Hmm, maybe I ll have room to do mods inside the new garage????  It is big enough to popup in.

tahoecampersWe will have to leave "  Hermes"  out front in the driveway.  Wish we had a garage.  Thought we were going out for Halloween but the kids got 10 kinds of activities to do.  It is also swim season so DH begins his busy time.

Trying to convince DH to take " Hermes"  to Florida over the Christmas Holiday.  [;)]  (with all of us of course!!!!) Is it too late to get reservations on the Keys somewhere?

Anyway, its been a great year and we travelled about 9000 miles since we got our new (to us) TV.
Lots a good memories to last through the cold!   Hey Giffster, we envy you!!!!![:D][:D]

Joe BuskirkWent  to Door County, WI last weekend for the last trip of the year.  I Just got done winterizing the camper and parked the camper behing the Garage this year.  My last storage location BIL s house is no longer available due to them moving.[&:]
I just hope I don t get the truck stuck in the back yard getting it out like I did 5 years ago[:@].  I think I have a better plan this time[;)].  It would cost me $50/month to store it close to me.

tahoecampersI still have the hunting season where I ll use the PU for weekend hunts. My son and I stay at the farm we hunt by the old house where we have electric hookups. My dad put in a 30 amp plug so were set. SWEET!

If it does get too cold in November, I ll winterize it but just bring a big jug of water that we can use. I don t want to take a chance have those water lines freeze up on us and bust.

wiininkwe

tahoecampersOur last official trip of the year is usually in mid-November for deer hunting.   Then we store it in our driveway til we decide if we can make the trip to Fla or not.   Every year that s a big ? because DH is in construction and tho they usually slow down for a while, and he gets laid off for a bit, we never know when it will happen or for how long.   Sometimes his boss tells him that he s gonna be laid off for so many days or weeks and we hustle off to Fla and then we get a call from him saying something big has just come up, hurry back.   This year has been a little different too, because of the economy, also the extra expenses from my surgery and extra days off that he took for that.   We just have to wait and see.
