Hey guys,

At 11:00 p.m. last night, paramedics took my mom to the hospital due to shortness of breath.  She's been struggling with bronchitis all week and last night it got to a point where she couldn't breathe at all and got scared and called 911.  She was admitted to the emergency room and they think that she may have suffered a heart attack. She'll be in the ICU for the next 3-4 days, so I'll be there instead of camping.  Have a fun time and please keep my mom in your prayers.

Oh my Gosh Lori- your mom will be in our prayers I hope she recovers soon.
we will miss you guys. and to think I was going to put a big WAAAAAAA
on the board cause I'm actually ready to go and I can't they won't let you in before noon w/o paying another day and it only takes me 10 min.

Maybe someone else might want Lori's spot of 107 its on the end behind Jacqui
next to the grass.  1 hour to camping!!!! my cell is 742-2413
see ya all soon

OC Campers

Lori, I am so sorry to hear about Wynn, I hope she is up and running around soon.  We will be praying for her.

Deidre, thanks so much for the directions.  We were going to battle the 55 fwy but the toll road is so much easier.  I am glad I checked, cause I would of ended up in the Corona "crush" and Randy and I would of been at each others throats by the time we got to the campground.

See ya around 6-7 pm

Ditto what G said.  Nice lady.  Glad she's in good hands.

Well, I hope everyone had a good time. Gina and I just couldn't get it together for some reason...

OC Campers

The OC Campers are home and everything put away.  Made it home in plenty of time for everyone to take showers and get to all the scout activities.

What a wonderful weekend.  Weather was a little chilly but no rain to speak of.  Enjoyed meeting new friends Jan and Rick and their kids and grandkids.  Good to see Larry and Bev again too. We also enjoyed camping next to Steve and Holly.   Deidre had her first.  She made it to her first Saturday morning potluck.  She also kept the campfire burning.  We had the huge campfire ring in the middle but we all congregated at her place for a cozier fire.  I think all the kids had a blast together.  Unfortunately, with Scott and Georgeanne not there we didn't take many pictures.  Deidre snapped a few but as usual I forgot our camera.  I think I should just keep a few "throw-away" cameras in the camper.

The Saturday potluck was a success.  As usuall, more food than most can consume.  Thanks again to everyone who attended.  We have a fantastic group of people.  It is hard to camp alone after being with the SC Camper group.

Yup, no shrimp, no marga-G-tas, no eclairs.  Hmmm, how did we get thru the weekend?  Oh yeah, Larry's ribs and chili.  You were definately missed!!

I am going to stop planning rally's, it seems everytime I plan one you and Georgeanne can't make it.  First, trick or treat in Temecula and now Canyon.  If I didn't know better, I would think you guys are avoiding me. ;)

Jacqui,

Avoiding you???  No way.  In fact I have the picture I took of you at Cachuma blown up to a 12 x 8 hanging up in my bathroom to remind me to:

  1.  Wash my hands frequently
  2.  Brush and gargle
  3.  Take plenty of vitamin C

You're an inspiration.

Jacqui, we made it to Malibu!  Didn't you plan that one? :D We actually took the Amtrak down to Union Station yesterday.  We hung out on Alvera Street and also watched the Golden Dragon parade.  We drank Margarita's, too, but they weren't nearly as good as Marga-G-tas!!  It was a very fun day, even if we weren't camping. Sure would have loved some of that ribs and chili, tho!

Ok Scott, you are a true friend.  I take lousy pictures and that particular picture was worse than all of them put together. :D   Although, a true friend probably would of deleted it from is Webshots but NOoooo, you have to make an enlarged copy to look at everytime you enter the bathroom.  (Wow, what a way to wake up in the morning:) ).  Boy with friends like you, I don't need any enemies!!:D

I am glad you had fun in LA, Olivera Street is a cool place to visit.  You can see all kinds of characters down there.  Plus, you didn't have to drive home.  Just had to find the right train.

I know you made it to Malibu RV but gosh that was a whole year ago.  There better be no more excuses next time.:) :p

well another successful weekend!!  I have about 2 pics of camping :(  I did think of doing a group shot, but I'm just not as organized as Scott, that and the fact I don't know what to do with them after I download them to my computer. someday I'll learn that webshots thing.  My friend Jennifer had fun on her 1st camping trip ever! and I enjoyed my 1st BREAKFAST potluck, I wouldn't have been able to pull it off without Jen, but now I know my limits for the next one (store bought donuts ;) ). I'm already excited about Yucaipa

Jacqui: Kevin discoved he has some YU-GI-OH cards that belong to Chris
will you e-mail me your address so I can mail them to him.  Those two
had a great time together, It was nice for Kevin to play with someone
besides  his sister.  The only boy on our street for hinm to play with is
a hoodlum so I rarely allow them to play.
Larry: Great Ribs & Thanks for the Chili!!

Steve-o-bud

Thanks Jaqui for organizing the event. We had a great time. Maddie and Gabby really enjoyed playing with Kendra and her friend at the playground Saturday afternoon. And, Dieddre, thanks for organizing the craft, and sharing a very nice, warm, and friendly campfire, and the smores!
