Quote from: Dee4jYes I'm still up for driving...... I think Brad has made a plan..do we not all want to go together?? I'm easy... I go where the wind blows, just tell me where to float :p When everyone gets there friday nite we can have a pow wow over some cocktails next to the fire and decide :!

speaking of Fire..do we have to bring our own fire pits??? if so...Brian???
Dee, bring your fire pit...there are no fire rings in any of the sites.  you also can rent a pit there if you don't want to haul your own.

Brad,

can you give us an idea of your plan?  i know there are a couple of wineries i would like to visit. when we were there last May, we went from Foxen down to Firestone and ran out of time.  i'd like to vist Gainey and some of the wineries in that area this time.

If you look at posting #1, there are about 15 people interested so far in the wine tasting tour. I realize that you can never please everyone and I am going with the flow of the group. I am going to take the group on a loop around the area and possibly hit 12 wineries if we have enough time. most wineries close between 4 & 5pm. So getting back to the CG early should not be a problem.
Below is the list of wineries I will be taking the group too.

In order starting with: (see touring map on posting #1. numbers match map numbers)

Kalyra - 47
Sunstone - 78
Gainey -39
Bridlewood- 14
Brander - 13
Koehler- 50
Fess Parker - 33
Curtis - 28
Firestone - 35
Foley
Rideau - 91
Buttonwood - 16

Now keep in mind that the cost of sampling is about $4-$5 per glass. So if a person sampled at each winery they are going to spend a lot of money. Also it should take between 20-30 Min's per winery on the average. I would suggest we start around 10:30-11:00 am and plan on being back around 4pm. I for one would rather have the group go as one, instead of breaking up into smaller groups. more fun, with more people  ;)
Also remember to pack and bring a lunch while we are out on the wine tour. ( I know of a good Deli that we can stop at, if anyone wants to buy a sandwich on the route)
We can discuss this in more detail friday night and see what the group wants to see or not see.

Now does anybody know how many more day until camping  :U

Wow ... didn't know it would be an all-day event.  Might be kind of hard with an 8 mo. old pooch in tow ...

Laura we can go take Jed for a walk at each site and take in the scenery. I have no interest in wine whatsoever so I would have the attention span of maybe a flea so I will be outside wondering aimlessly or sitting in my truck litsening to tunes or napping (darn out loud voice) :J

It's looking like I might have 2 friends joining me, at least through Sunday afternoon.  That would have implications for carspace & winetasting on Saturday, and will definitely add 1 for dinner on Sunday.  Told you my friends are fickle!   :eyecrazy:
