How was the Riley Ranch...it looks cool and I thought you guys went there this week end?

You have to get them EARLY or you can't get parking (parking is FREE). When we were leaving, people were parking on the street. There's a victorian house as you enter the parking lot where they have a tour demonstrating how to make apple cider & apple pie. The closer you get to the house, the more you can smell the LARGE apple pies baking. These pies are approx 5 inches tall and are filled with LOTS of thin sliced apples and ours was covered with a brown sugar topping. YUMMY!!!! I believe you are able to make your own jug of apple cider for $15.

There is a large area where you can pick your own pumpkins and I was surprised that their prices were so reasonable. The orange pumpkins were $.45/lb and white were .80/lb.

We went apple picking and they have several varieties mixed together in their field. They had 1 or 2 types of green apples and several red varieties ready for the picking. The small baskets were approx. $7.50 and large were $15.00. There were a couple varieties that where good for pies. The kids have been enjoying the apples and haven't had a bad one yet. I can't believe how firm and sweet these apples are. There was one type of apple that was tart on the green side and sweet on the red side. YUMMY AGAIN!!

We noticed that they had a hayride (not sure where it started or ended), restaurant, general store. This is a place where you could spend the entire day and still not do everything. This is definitely a festive place to spend a fall day but be prepared for a crowd.

I'll keep an eye out for another campground that would be better for our group. Hopefully, we can get a rally going for here next year.

PS - SUE - I did look into Banning's KOA but I believe it is approx 15 miles from the farm and I wasn't sure if that would be too far.  Also, people in the group don't care for KOA's.

BTW- They had clean bathrooms and even had clean overflow outhouses. Yes, we used them and as Josh said, "mommy, don't look down". There was a guy there who was spraying down/cleaning them as the day went on.

Yes nice flag.  The apple picking stuff is fun, the campground is nice. only a couple of the sites hold 2 rv's..I wish I had an actual site map to look at I could tell you more.

I would camp there again, but we will be real spread out
