We love it all. Our favorite is in the mountains near a stream river or lake with a great view of the surrounding mountains. We also enjoy flatland camping on a lake and also enjoy camping on the Gulf Coast in the summer.

We enjoy a beach trip occasionally, especially for DD, but 95% of the time, we'll choose the mountains of NC or VA. And as DD has gotten older, soon to be 13, she usually chooses the mountains, too, if we ask her.

Adirondacks #1 place for us to camp.  Since we live so far away, we usually fly up to see the family, and just pack a tent and air mattress in one of our big suitcases to came with my siblings.

I do have to say I really did enjoy Palo Duro Canyon (avatar) when we went, we stayed about 6...maybe 7 nights, and by that last day I wanted out of the 'dirt/dust' pretty bad, but it was a wonderful experience.
