Here s the question that kept me awake this morning.

What actor or actress has been in a leading role in the most episodes of night time television?

For example---Kelsey Gramer was Frazier in both Cheers and now Frazier.  I think his is the longest running character in night time television.

But what about Michael Landon?  Lots of years as Little Joe on Bonanza, then Little House on the Prairie, then Highway to Heaven.

Dick van Dyke for DVD show and Diagnosis Murder

Mary Tyler Moore for DVD and the Mary Tyler Moore Show.

Tom Bosley--Happy Days, Father Dowling Murders and a frequent guest ot Murder She Wrote.

Does anyone know who has starred in the most episode of night-time television?

gsm x2How about Andy Griffith?  I m sure he s up there in episodes of Mayberry RFD and Mattlock.  Or how about Buddy ??? who was Jed Clampett and the other investigator.  Maybe Ray Bradberry as Ironsides and Perry Mason.

Starcraft Dad

gsm x2Anna Nicole Smith.  Well not really but it seems like she has been on forever.  Have you ever seen one of her shows?  Sheesh, and they call that entertainment.[:@][:(][: (][:o]

gsm x2For a character on a series it most likely would be one of the Simpsons, 300 shows and since the average TV series runs 20-22 episodes a year that s apx 15 years of full series.

Miller Tyme

gsm x2Ron Howard(Andy Griffith and Happy Days) would be real close.[8D]
