This was part of a weekly newsletter put out by a local TV station.  The newsletter has to do with consumer problems and not wasting your money on things.

Just wanted to pass this info on for anyone knowing a soldier overseas.

 SOLDIER MONEY WOES
 ------------------
Many families right now have a son or daughter in the service,
heading off to Iraq. Right now, no one knows how long they ll be gone. Not
only is that tough news emotionally, its also tough financially.
Denny and Lisa Taylor didn t know what to do about the credit card
companies who ve begun calling for their son, Justin.
Justin owes money. Only problem: he s one of the thousands of army soldiers
now serving their country in the Persian Gulf.
The Taylors were not aware of The Soldiers Relief Act, a federal law
is designed to keep creditors off the backs of our fighting men and women. I
requires lenders to lower credit card rates to 6 percent, and not pursue
servicemen and women till they come home. It forbids eviction from an
apartment. And it delays all civil court actions.
The catch?  It applies only to leases and contracts the solider or
reservist entered before becoming active. Career soldiers are not eligible
for some of the benefits. But it s worth checking out with your military
 division.

angelsmom10This is really good info!  And great of you to post it - you may want to add " relief for"   to the subject line though,  as in " Relief for soldier money woes" ...

I clicked because I wasn t sure what you meant.  But then I lean toward the not side bright side of the family.[;)]
