SCCSWe use a step stool when we decide to take our AAR down early.  If rain is predicted and we are leaving in the morning it is so much easier to have the AAR put away.

SCCSWe use one of the Rubber Maid step stools all the time when camping.  I lay it on its side right inside the door.  I use it when putting the bikes on/off the roof, putting the AAR up (I have never done it like they say, before the PU is all the way up), hooking the shower stall to the roof rack, putting the awning away when the PU is set up and for other things.  It is an item that I would not want to part with in the trailer.

SCCSwe got the folding one from campingworld this winter, we have the rubbermaid one too, the folding one we are keeping in the van under the seat, since i m " short"  it helps when unpacking the roof rack

SCCSI ll stick with my 5 Gal. pickle bucket[:D] for the outside stuff.  The kids use a rubbermade step to get into the beds.

 SCCSScott,
They look like great collapsible stools.  I ll have to check them out at the rally in 2 weeks.
With our PU the kids can access the front bunk by way of the couch so we just needed one for the rear bunk.  It also is perfect there for them to use the sink (hands, teeth, etc...).  We use a maternity stool which is nice and small and stores away easily in the empty garbage can when popped-down.
I have a 3-step ladder that stores perfectly in the front storage trunk for things like loading and un-loading the bikes from the top of the PU as well as putting the awning away our last night if we want to have an easier and earlier departure the next morning.
