Updated my site with new trip pictures...what a weekend!  Great food, great people, great fun!  I m burned to a crisp and the dogs can hardly walk anymore.  The weather was absolutely gorgeous and almost HOT!  NOt sure what the actual thermometer topped out at, but I would venture a guess at low to mid 80 s.

Naturally, I did not bring sunblock, a simsuit, or shorts, so Willard and I had to make a run to the local Walmart (god bless Walmart) for some necessities.

The potluck dinner was insane!  Soooo much food and I couldn t venture to guess how many people....maybe 60 or so?  Couldn t count all the kids, they kept running around. ha!  There were kids EVERYWHERE!  We had kids at our campsite to visit, to talk to us about fishing, to pet the dogs, it was great!  [:D]

Willard and Rick (Campincrazy s hubby) caught a ton of fish which Rick then cleaned and cooked up for us (yum yum) and even I caught a 12 inch ..ermm...Croppie I think?

If you live close to TX or in TX and have kids, I d HIGHLY recommend this State Park/Lake.  A word of caution however, make your reservations as soon as you know when you want to go.  They were actually turning people away and sending them back home since they had not made reservations and the entire park was booked solid!

There s hiking trails, canoing, paddle boating, swimming, fishing, playgrounds, and bicycling.  I wouldn t recommend taking small children and older dogs on the trail.  I also wouldn t recommend the trail to anyone who was not used to riggorous walking.  YOu can go to my website and see why.

 Enjoy the pics!
