TrlrboyHey! Your Inks Lake pics are great!
I haven t been there since I was a kid. Thanks for the visit. It looks like you all had a terrific time. Good for you.
Keep up the wonderful photography, we enjoy them[:D]

TrlrboyGreat pics Bob. The one thing that really jumps out is the apparent lack of shade in the park. Are all the loops that way? We are going to cook in May......[:(]

 TrlrboyHi Bob,

We too are going to be down at Inks Lake in May. We re scheduled to arrive on May 18 and will be there 7 nights. After seeing the pictures, and the lack of shade, we re thinking about changing to the mountains of Arkansas. What do you think? We know there is a lot to do around there and DW has some really good friends that she hasn t seen in a while that live in Liberty Hill, which is not too far away from the park.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. Hopefully someday our schedules will clear out where we can join NTPUCA on one of their trips.

TrlrboyActually a lot of the sites are shaded but where we were at probably only 50% were in shade because I was trying to get everyone in the same two loops of the campground.  Once you get past sites #75 or so most others have shade either right by the camper or by the picnic table.  Also keep in mind there were no leaves on most of the trees.

Inks Lake is a really popular park if you have kids because there is so much to do in the area and right at the park.  There are decent trails, rentals for kayaks, canoes and paddleboats and bigger kids can go down to the Devils Waterhole and jump off the rocks into the lake.  This park gets really full on weekends so you need to either get there in mid-week or accept that your campsite may not be all you may expect.

TrlrboyWe were there and I saw many shaded sites.   A lot of the pictures just happened to be in our area which was not as shaded as some others.  It is a very big park.  I would suppose that closer to summer, the shaded sites go quickly.  For this time of year, our sites were perfect.  Also, some of the trees are just beginning to get leaves.  We had a terrific time and enjoyed meeting new members and seeing the others we had previously met.  We d like to go again when the water warms up a bit.  It will be a great place for water sports.

TrlrboyWhat great pictures!  That is a beautiful campground and if your state ever gets tired of it you can pack it up and send it to Florida - LOL!  Wonderful group and looks like you had a really great time!

Gatsmommy

TrlrboyYou neglected to tell everyone the reason Glenn looks so scared is he knew you were going to try to steal his ball!!!![;)]

Red neff Barchetta

TrlrboyGreat pictures Bob!  Thanks for sharing them.  The A-liner looks so fast, lol.  That a/c on the older Coleman cracks me up.  Was it loud when it was turned on?

Trlrboy

TrlrboyGlenn had nothing to worry about with the ball.  He kept eyeing over the margaritas but you kept turning him away... LOL

RNB:  That Aliner is really neat looking.  Took all of 5 minutes to be completely set up.  As to the A/C sitting in the dirt, well... that s one way of staying cool I guess.  You didn t really hear it running much but then I wasn t in the same loop as that prime example of engineering talent.

Camperroo

Trlrboywhat great, great photos.  Wish I could have been there with you all, it just looked like a fun time.  It was fun going through your album!  Can t camp around here for at least another month, so this was just the ticket to get me through!

Trlrboy

TrlrboyCamperoo... with spring around the corner for you it shouldn t be long before you re out in the woods again.  However, if you get some snow and are fed up with it, drop me a line and fly to Dallas.  I ll pick you up with the camper in tow and drop you back off on Sunday.

CampinCrazy

TrlrboyThree cheers for Bob and Patty and all their hard work for this outing!  It was a blast and I finally got to meet some of the people I ve chatted with on this forum!  We all had fun, fun and more fun!   Some people thought they could hear the highway - but I think we were just hearing the blender!
 Great pics!

TrlrboyCampinCrazy:  How did I miss a picture of the queen of margaritas?  I searched all through the camera and must have deleted you when I was cleaning out some duplicate photos.  Had a great time with you, see you out there again sometime... probably across a green, purple and blue campfire.

CampinCrazy

TrlrboyAhhhh, deleted again.  Sigh.....the story of my life.  Maybe, due to my shyness, you just couldn t catch me for a picture![;)]
