I don t like the feel of the upholstery on my skin [: (] when I sleep and want to cover the beds with a sheet for sleeping.  In my old PU, a standard full-sized fitted sheet fit.  However, the Coleman king isn t near a standard king fitted sheet.  I ve heard the Coleman sheets are not soft and comfy.  I was going to get a flat sheet and just tuck it under the edges, but I m afraid with rolling around they ll pull out.  I m not sure how to sew it so it will become a fitted sheet.

Has anyone found a good solution to this problem?

Camping CoxesYES!  My husband, Willard, did!

We purchased full size sheets for our PU beds.  They were also a bit too big.  They make these clips that is made of an elastic band with two clips at the end.  The clips ends clip to the edges of the corners of the sheet to help tighten them and keep them in place.  To date, our sheets have NOT moved an inch!

You can find these clips for about $1.99 in the sheet section of your local Walmart.  They were hanging on an endcap next to the fitted sheets.

 Good luck!

Camping CoxesThat is basically what we did.  We bought the memory foam topper for our bed and then king size knit sheets.  Put the fitted sheet over the topper and the Coleman mattress and used the " sheet keepers"  (or whatever they are called) to pull it all snug.  Put the top sheet on and use 2 more to clip the bottom edge to the fitted sheet, so it will not come out.  It works great.  The knit sheets are soft, cool in the summer and warm in cool weather.  We got them at Wally world on sale.  By the way, the top of the PU will close with the memory foam in place.

Camping CoxesThe queen sized stretch sheets fit the PU King sized mattress.  They stretch enough wo they fit nicely.  I tried them after reading that they would fit on the old board.  They were much cheaper at a Big Lots store and still a good brand name.

Camping CoxesWe tried the queen sheets but the 4 corners curled up on us.  We then bought king sheets and they fit, maybe a little big but the extra gets tucked under, never a problem with them coming off.  The problem for me was the feel of the mattress came through the sheet and since it is rougher than the home mattress I did not like it.  What we finally did was go back to opening the sleeping bag and using a comforter to cover us, this is the best that we found.

GaryWTI should have listened to my mom.  She suggested the clippy-elastic thingy to hold the sheets in place.

We use a sleeping bag opened up on top of us, but to have it underneath would be too warm for most of my family (myself excluded -- I m coldblooded).  I guess I m off to check the clearance section of stores to find two matching (hopefully) flat king sheets.  Thanks!

Camping CoxesI use a California king sheet with elastic all the way around it.  I pull the sheet into the corner of the mattress and it stays put.  The elastic keeps the extra sheet pulled under the mattress and out of the way.

 Camping CoxesHey Trina!

We actually use the Coleman fitted sheets that came withth camper.  We e washed them so that they re not stiff-new-out-of the-packaging anymore and they don t bother us.  We also sleep with a sleeping bag opened underneath us and another on top.  Aaahh, just right!  You can check our system out in Malibu and see if you like it.  [:D]
