DBGCAMPWe set up a 6  dome tent to use as an outhouse when we camp at places without restrooms that meet DWs standard of cleanliness and quality.

We put the porta potty in there, a lantern, some TP, and some reading material as well.  [:)]  It works out pretty good - we like it better than in the camper itself - where the air pollution can be an issue, especially if camp beans are on the menu.  [;)]

I am considering running an extension cord out there on the colder trips so that we can turn the heat on when we are making those middle of the night visits......[:D]

Oh, Mr. Flinders, this is just more information than I needed to know, since we re going to be spending a weekend together real soon.  HOLD THE REFRIED BEANS ON OUR MEXICAN DINNER SATURDAY NIGHT PLEASE![:o]

Anyway, we have talked about doing this when my son wants to bring a friend.  It ll give them their own space, a place to " hang out and chill."   So far the only time we did it was when we were camping with the Boy Scouts, and the boys were supposed to be out in tents anyway.

DBGCAMPHi Acts, when he was 5 he did not like sleeping with his little sister since she kept him up all night.  I had an old tent from when I was a kid.  He asked if we could bring it so we made a deal.  If I brought it and set it up and he slept in it all weekend, I would buy him a new tent.  Of course, at this age, I set the tent up part way under the awning so he was right at the door, as he got older, we pushed the tent further away.  It worked well for us although I believe the wife and I did not get much sleep that first weekend.  Also if the weather was bad he was always welcome to come inside.

DBGCAMPMy son brings his tent every time. Of course he usually brings some of his friends, also.[:@]

DBGCAMPWe take the tent with us, just in case we need to use it for an outhouse and extra storage.  It is nice to have a bathroom close by, and if need be, set it up for extra people to spend the night or weekend.

DBGCAMPWe do. I just bought a new 12 by 18 foot tent and used it last week. I put the 10 and 12 year old boys out there. They liked it ,plenty of room. You can stand up in it. Put  the TV on a folding chair and they could play their video games to their hearts content.  It keeps the pop up cleaner. Everybody has more room.

DBGCAMPWe bring ours when we have more than just our family in the camper. Use it for clothes and a changing room.

CAMPNMOMWe probably won t bring the tent for the first couple of times unless we find that the two older boys want to have some space.  It is kind of big one(a three room).  What I bought at Wally World and what I consider to be a pretty good deal is a screened room tent by Ozark Trail or something like that.  Dimensions:  10x13. It was only 34.99 and as long as the little understory trees at the campsites allow us the room, we will put it up.  It comes in a carrying satchel similar to a pack and play.  I think that it will be a nice addition to our site.  Does anyone else take along this kind of room?

DBGCAMPWe do.  Since we have a TINY popup, the tent helps with overflow storage.

CAMPNMOMMy parents had a pop up. My sisters got to sleep inside and my twin brother and I slept outside. I only got to sleep in my parents pop up twice.
