Those that know us personally know this is something we have wanted for a while.  We did it...... it is a great truck and will be a better tow vehicle than we ever dreamed of.

We have worked very hard for it and will enjoy every moment.

 mowalkerHey Mo,

Congratulations on the new truck.  I think you had better change your signature line.

 mowalkerOOops... [8D]

 Thanks Tracy, is this better

Wayfarer

mowalkerPardon my ignorance, but exactly what is a " hemi" ?

Honeybee

mowalkerThis is kind of complicated, but Chrysler came up with this engine in the 1950 s, it was a very uniuqe design and incorporated a hemispherical combustion chamber inside the engine. Motorheads shortened the name to " hemi" . They put out a lot of horsepower and turned out to be very durable engines. Chrysler generally put them in their muscle cars of that era, but you could also find them in a few family sedans from that time also.

Now Chrysler is trying to get their new cars as attractive as possible to baby boomers who were buying those muscle cars as youngsters just starting out. Now they have lots of disposable income to afford to buy Chryslers again because the kids are generally grown and gone.  That generation identifies with what a hemi is, so it simply sells a lot of cars for them today.

mowalkerHmmm...  I wonder if that will fit in my 2002 Dakota Quad Cab 4x4!!!

Being a fan of the Dakota due to the Size of the Truck, I am waiting (actually, drooling) at the possibilty that in a few years, they will equip the Dakota Quad Cab 4x4 s with the Hemi..

Congrats on a Great Truck!!!!!  I m sure that with all that extra Torque, you will not even realize you are towing anything...

 mowalkerCongrats Mo.
The only thing you need now is a 671 blower sitting on top of the engine and a couple of 1250 double pumpers. You will be able to pass everything but a gas station. But boy look at those green envious eye s on the way to the gas station. nothing was better then the old dodge 426. I am off noew to take a cold shower. You know how all that horsepower does to us guys UGHH UGHH
