The Credit Union came through for me, I ve been pre-approved on the loan for a Trail Cruiser Hybrid!!!! [:D]

Now it s time for the nitty gritty, to buy from the local guy, or from CFO?!?! CFO is over $3000 cheaper [:)] But two day drive to pick it up [: (]

Guess I may just have to turn this into a 4 day camping adventure to CFO. Those that have bought from them in the past, did they meet your expectations? Were there any issues with the product? And most important, how has your local service deptartment treated you considering you went to CFO for the purchase?

Gone-CampingCongrats on the loan.  Try one more time to get the local guy down before you take the drive.  Good luck.

Gone-CampingCongratulation Cliff!  Have a good trip going to pick it up and take pictures to show us when you get back.

Gone-CampingCliff, I bought my Jayco from an individual, yet the local dealer has been great, they make money with service, and want to keep you happy.

I was so happy that I bought my Bantam through my local dealer (used).
I have heard nothing but good about CFO. That Trail cruiser will be almost a foot and a half wider than what you are pulling (but then again you pull stuff around for a living).

I find that the taller trailer is easier to back, but does get a sucking and drawing effect when being passed, that the Jayco did not have.

You going to have this in time for Easter trip?

I think I would give the local dealer one more try.

If he knows you got the money, he may do a lot better for you and it is only a few minutes of your time.

If he does come through, you have saved four days travel

 good luck and happy camping

Gone-CampingCongratulations!  We love our new TrailCruiser...hope you will too!!

Gone-CampingThanks, and I fully intend to let the local dealer have one more shot at it. However, he s going to have to get within a $1,000 of CFO for me to buy it. The one he has on the lot is not as well equipped, doesn t have the RV-Q Grill, no spare tire, no oven, has pilot light on the water heater instead of DSI, and a few other minor things. Oh, and the BRAND NEW unit at the local dealer has tears in the canvas, on both ends!!!

He ll have his chance, but something tells me that I ll wind up at CFO anyway!

Gone-CampingCliff, which model are you getting ???? Congrats on the approval of the loan , I hope you will enjoy it ! Are you gonna have it in time for the eastern rally ?

Gone-CampingSo what s happening with the Rio?   Should I bring some cash with me on my trip to VA next week?

Gone-CampingWhen we were buying, we weren t set on getting the RVQ, or the DSI option.  It just so happened that the unit we found had those already on it and was less expensive than ordering one without them.  Now that we have them, I m really glad we do.  We used the RVQ last weekend for the first time, because we forgot to pack our little charcoal grill and now, we will probably use it from now on.  It worked great.  I m not sure I d pay retail for it, but like I said we got a better deal with it.  The DSI is also a great feature.  Having a spare tire speaks for itself.  I d really think hard before buying a new unit with torn tent ends.  IMHO, if you are buying new, don t settle for higher priced, less options on a damaged unit.  Try to think ahead to what you will be satisfied with and not regretting the decision you made.  We also checked with CFO and our dealer was not that far from them to warrant the drive for us.
