I just received my new bunk end covers from PopUpGizmos.  I was wondering how those of you who have hybrids attach it at the top of the canvas.

In their instructions it says:  Position the cover about 2 inches inside the bottom edge of the roof. (When you fully set-up the bunk end, the cover will be " pinched"  between the canvas and the roof.)

This is not possible on my hybrid.  I have a little rain guard that I could attach it to but it doesn t seem to have the same amount of security in high winds.  Any suggestions?

ckkevinAll we do is attach the cover to the bunk end BEFORE we pull out the end defining pole and put the shepard s pole up.  We make sure we have it high enough on the canvas so that the shepard s pole crimps the cover between the canvas and the rain gutter.  I don t know what the set-up on your camper is, but that works for our Trail-Cruiser.  Of course, since we can t lower our roof to do this, we (OK, I -- not hubby) need a good sized step stool to reach the top of the bunk end.  Unfortunately, the canvas doesn t touch the rain gutter.

ckkevinwe clip it the rain gutter before opening the plattform we use four small metal tight fitting clamps, then we clip to the canvas top, mid ,bottom, on both sides, ours is a size bigger then the canvas size so we have the extra room, and when it rains we can leave the bunk window open, because we have the extra to make a awning

ckkevinhmmm, now that you mention it, I don t know if our canvas actually touches the rain gutter once the shepard s pole is up.  We haven t had any problems with the bunk end covers, but clamping it to the rain gutter does sound like a good idea.  We ll have to try that on our next outing.

ckkevinAny Kiwi owners using bunk end covers, how do they attach?  Curious since I haven t ordered them yet.

ckkevinNot a Kiwi, but a bantam.

I tuck it into the wall where the canvas joins.
Bought a telescoping brush/icescraper last year and telescope it after I clip the cover on (I have a rubbermaid step) as high as possible, use the Icescraper end to gently prod it into crack.
I use the brush end to clean off leaves and stuff. Very useful, got it at Walmart last year in the spring for 50 cents.

I leave mine on all the time and just reconnect the top clips when setting up.
