We are taking the new PU out for the first time -- DH was able to get Sat eve off so we decided to go to East Fork -- hope the weather holds out.

angelsmom10I m guessing those that are camping this weekend may have already left -- IF they have off today.

I wish I was one of those people -- camping already.  I have to wait another two weeks for our first trip of the season.

For those camping this weekend, have a roasted marshmallow for me!!

angelsmom10We drove by the Mass Pike today, and you should ve seen the traffic!!  Didn t notice any pop-ups though!  I sure have seen a bunch brought out of storage!! We need to go out soon because they may have to put me " away"  if my boys ask me one more time, " When are we going camping??"  [:@][:D]

angelsmom10Don t let them put you away!!! Enjoy it! All too soon it will be " aw do we have to go camping with mom & dad again???"
We won t be going for another 5 weeks! I had to cancel our trip to Acadia on May 2nd!

angelsmom10We had great intentions BUT...changed work schedules, fresh head colds and plenty of stormy weather predicted here...so we give it up.  Anxious for our first outing, maybe a 3-day weekend next weekend!  I m a little envious of those that are out but our time is coming.

angelsmom10WE DID IT ! we finally had a decent weekend[:)] we have a seasonal site this year, so we were able to get up there (nj) and open her up, we set up the screen house, had lunch outside[:D], dh took a nap in the lounge chair, I planted some  seeds, relaxed and enjoyed the sun shine[8D] then had to come home to go back to work today[: (]

angelsmom10We just got back from a beautiful weekend here in Pennsylvania!

We went to Brookdale Family Campground in Meadville, PA.  We left Friday morning on April 18th and arrived home at 4:00 PM on Sunday, April 20th!  Couldn t have asked for a better weekend.  It was cloudy on Friday and a bit on the chilly side, but the furnace took care of that!  Saturday 70 degrees and on Sunday it was high 70 s!

Not too many camping, had the campground to ourselves!!!

Next weekend we go again, same place with our PA Popuppers Camping Club.  Anyone is welcome to come along......

Gone-Camping

angelsmom10Yep, now that it s Sunday evening, got back from our first weekend out of the year. Met up with the MAPCE group at Newport News Park.

It felt great to be out camping again, the weather was mostly on our side this time, and we had plenty of great company!!!

angelsmom10We got back last night from 6 days of camping in Key Largo.  Other than our A/C not working (see DH s post titled Stow Away in the regular forum), we had a ball.  DD celebrated her birthday down there with a snorkeling trip and she met a pal from SC.

This was our first trip of the year and as usual it was great to go and good to get home.  Next trip is Mothers Day weekend to a state park not far from home.

Luv2Camp

 angelsmom10Hello
We are back from our first camping trip of the season. VERY late in the season for us. We are usually camping in February. When we heard of the NPN we had already made reservations at Cherrystone for the Clam bake weekend. We had a great weekend. For all you campers who know me and Rich, we bought a NEW truck and retired the old 1988 F-150. Last week we bought a 2003 Silverado 1500 Ext Cab. Since we already had the wekend planned we looked for one that already was tready to tow. We still need to get the electric brakes hooked up but we had a wonderful time. We camped at a site away from all the activities and met a super nice couple camped next to us. The new truck was so nice to tow with.

angelsmom10We had a great time - weather couldn t have been better -- storms did move in Sunday eve, but we were home and unloaded by then.

The CG only had 4 loops open -- the first is for campers w/horses and it was empty, the second had very few campers, which is where we stayed -- the rest of the loops were very crowded.  More campers out than we anticipated with the holiday.

Just was a perfect weekend all around.
