RE: Can you sleep with campground noise?

So far, all my camping has been at the racetracks, and they can get really noisy!! Usually the Friday and Saturday nights before the races, you have lots of folks consuming large quantities of adult beverages and playing loud music till the wee small hours of the night. Most of the campgrounds have a posted " quiet time" --usually starting at 11pm or midnight, but it doesn t seem to be too well enforced. After all, the campgrounds usually have hundreds (if not, thousands) of campers jammed in together! It s hard to make EVERYONE shut up!
 
 When I was tent camping, and even now with the pop-up, we always liked it if we were camped close to someone that had a nice, smooth-running generator! Usually, it created enough " white noise"  to help drown out some of the late night festivities.
