I am taking my Pop-up in this week for some service. I have repacked my bearings my self before but I figured I would take it in this year and have someone else do it as well as give the Pop-up a once over.  What should I expect do be done? I know the bearings...the lift system, but after that I am not sure?  I know and trust my dealer and don?t think they would take advantage of me too much, but I would like a little knowledge going in. It has been sitting for a bout a year...my youngest just turned 10 months old, and we haven?t camped since my wife was 6 months pregnant, (something about not wanting to be outdoors and sleeping on the popup mattress while being pregnant? [8D] go figure?   Be we are now ready to go out again and I wanted to have it checked out.  Any help here would be appreciated.   Thanks?[:D]

CampinSteveThe main two things would be the bearings and the tires.  You have already made a good decision to have them repacked.

When they pull the tires to do the job, inspect the tires carefully on all sides (including between the treads) for any signs of dryrot.

In addition to the bearings/tires, check out the LP gas system (refrigerator/HWH) to see if any bugs have built nests in them.

Other than that, check it over like you were purchasing a new one.

See my [link=http://www.title-3.com/BuyUsed.htm]Purchasing a Used Pop-Up-Camper[/link] web page for things to look at.

CampinSteveOur dealer did the bearings, checked the tires, the brakes,
the LP system, the hot water heater/anode,
 the water system and pump,
 checked over the lift system,
 the furnace and ac,
 the battery,
made sure everything operated smoothly when setting up and popping down,
also gave her a nice bath to check the seals and deliver her back all shiny and clean.

I think they also checked over any wiring and I know they checked the coupler since I was having a little trouble with it on occasion.

CampinSteveIf your trailer has brakes have them adjusted too.
