We had the add-a-room screen room with the pop-up, now we are rethinking getting one for the TT.  We are leaning more towards just using the screen house, mostly for the cost We got one on a close-out  sale for $59.00 from $150.00
the add-a-room/screen room was a pain to put it up,and the weight of it. The screen room is under 20lbs.  and is e-z to put up, and it s 12x14 what if anything are you doing?

dee106I agree a regular screen tent/room would be a lot easier. I m not a fan of our PU screen room. It does the job, and probably not harder than any other brand. Everytime I have to put it away I always think, " Isn t this the reason I no longer camp in a tent?"

 Observation.........................
Of all the years I ve been camping I really don t remember seeing a TT with a awning/ type screen room. I know the must make them, but don t think I ve seen one being used.

byrdr1yup we finially got it, in all places new hampshire, we were up there in October campin in Manie, New Hampshire and Boston area.  When my girl friend told us about a dealer 15 mins. from her home, so we took a look, and they had it, so we traded our pu in right there they gave us the best price for it, plus the best price on the 2003 unit and we got it.  went up in a pu came home with a travelstar! with the full slide out![:D]

dee106We never used our screen room with our PU, and with the Hybrid I just can t see the need for our family.  The camper has plenty of room for us. I know they make the screen rooms for the campers but with the weight and other issues I just don t see the benefit.  I think a screen room makes more sense if you need that extra space, I just don t like being enclosed that much.

dee106we basically use it while eating outdoors, those flies can be a problem, along with the yellow jackets.  i like eating outside but the bugs send us inside.[: (]

dee106I have both. A screen room for the PU and a EZ-UP Dining Canopy with Screen Walls. We ve used both quite a bit during BLACK FLY season, but later on in season use neither one. I don t think the screen room is that hard to put up, I do it alone. The canopy is easier but really needs two people to spread it open. Since I usually have the site set up by the time my wife gets out of work, I end up staking one corner of the canopy and keep working the other three out. Then attach the screen walls, put the vase of flowers on the table and it s all set for my wife!
