Well, we finally outgrew the garage.  Keeping the Santa Fe in one side kind of restricts what you can keep in there.  So we decided to get a " barn" .  Actually it is just an 8 X 10 foot shed but it should help clean out the garage.

Well, we decided to get a shed with a front porch.  What do you need for the front of the porch, but a fire ring.  Now between camping trips we can go out the the yard and have a campfire anytime we want.

[link=http://www.gordonswelding.com/uring.html]Take a look at what we bought[/link].  With shipping it was less than $80.  I fired it up tonight, it s nice to have a fire when you want one.

tim5055Now that we camp so much we gave up on our garden so we have a place to set up our PU.  We have something for campfires also, the inside of our discarded dryer.  We cannot burn trash in the village but we are allowed to have a campfire type fire.

 tim5055That s nifty, Tim!

I have been wanting something like that, but our slugdivision wouldn t allow it, probably. (You can t sneeze too loudly here). But, I think a Coleman firepit (or whatever it is called) would be allowed, so I ve been sorta drooling over one of those. Anybody with experience with these?

tim5055That looks like a well made fire pit.  Have you used it yet?  Thanks for the link.

While it is not in it s final location, we did have a campfire last night.  It is very well built and it s nice to be able to have a fire anytime.

On of the reasons we got the " U"  shaped on is that it has a cooking surface.  The local laws allow an open fire anytime for cooking[:D]

We have a Coleman Outdoor fireplace. We love it. Got it at Walmart. It folds down and we take it in the pop up. In the evenings, I take the side panels off and use the bottom as a charcoal grill. Then we put the side grates back on in the evening and have our fire. The top is nice ot have- you can have a nice fire even in the rain.

Personally, I like having the fire up off the ground and in front of me, to get the warmth. It also is a smaller size, so we find we don t use as much wood. We re not the big roaring fire kind of family.
