 For NH Camping, do you prefer private campgorunds or state parks?

 We tend to go with private wherever we go.  Just habit.

 AdminBeing very very careful to completely push through the chad, I VOTED!!! Wanting to be entertained by nature and not hayrides, costume parties, etc, I would vote state parks all the time EXCEPT for maybe MA! And even then it would be close!

 AdminState Parks for us![;)]  Since we tend to go camping to enjoy " outdoor things" ,  we re happy with the state campgrounds.[:)]

 AdminActually, we have a couple of favorites in both state and private campgrounds.
 
 We generally find a campground that does not offer a lot of activities but does have a lake or river for swiming, fishing and canoeing or kayaking.
 
 If you are interested in NH State Parks, I have posted a link to their website in this forum.
 
 More of the state parks are getting electric and water hookups.
 
 My favorite ones are way way way way up north.
 
 Unfortunately, my favorite one is on a lake that has gotten a lot of press lately about the great bass fishing and there is more boat traffic on it now.  It is a little tougher to get reservations there, especially on the weekends.
